Easy Bat Halloween Craft Materials

Easy Bat Halloween Craft

Materials:

  1. Bat wing template (download the FREE template here)
  2. Empty toilet paper roll
  3. Black construction paper
  4. Black paint
  5. Paint brush
  6. Scissor
  7. Glue
  8. Chalk (optional for tracing the wing template)
  9. Googly eyes
  10. Red pipe cleaner
  11. White construction paper (for making fangs if you want)

Directions:

Step 1:

First, download the bat wing template here and print it out.

Step 2:

Next, paint the toilet paper roll black. By doing this first, the roll will have time to dry while you create the bat wings.

Step 3:

Now it’s time to start the wings! Take your wing template and cut it out, following the black line.

Step 4:

Place your template on the black construction paper. Before doing so, if you’d like you can fold your paper in half so you can cut two at once. Take your chalk (or pencil) and trace around the template. Then cut out the wing following the traced line.

Step 5:

It’s time to glue! Grab your glue and put it on the “tab” pieces on the bat wings (tab pieces are labeled on the template). Overlap the wings on the bat’s back.

Step 6:

For the finishing touches, take the extra black construction paper from cutting your bat wings and cut out two bat ears (triangles). Then cut a small piece of the pipe cleaner to be used as your bat’s smile! Last, take two googly eyes and glue those, the pipe cleaner smile and the ears onto your bat’s face.

*OPTIONAL- cut out two very small triangles from white construction paper to use as the fangs.

Step 7:

Your bat is done! SO cute, right!? Use tape or fishing line to hang your bat up as a cute Halloween decoration!

Happy Halloween!
