About Me

A Little About Me

Hey you! My name is Kimberly Hepburn. Let’s not be so formal though, okay? Call me Kimmy- I prefer that anyway. Kimberly just sounds so serious or like my parents are about to yell at me (which would be very odd because I’m almost 30 years old.) Anywho, where was I? Oh, yes, welcome to my blog! Or whatever this is.

Let’s talk facts…

1. I’m not a writer (professionally speaking) but I do love to write. I always have. I’ve kept a diary since I was old enough to write my first sentence (or try to) and I used to love to write poetry (God help the person that ever comes across my poem collection- not my greatest work). I totally thought I was the next Shel Silverstein.

2. (Did you forget I had a list going? I know, I go on tangents) Currently I am a stay-at-home mom but I used to be an Academic Intervention Services teacher. I got my Masters in Literacy and chose a concentration in Art during my undergrad. Art and teaching are serious passions of mine. I definitely miss my days in the classroom but I wouldn’t trade my life right now for the world.

3. I have been unbelievably blessed with the opportunity to be able to stay home with my kids. I have a 2.5 year old son and a 12 month old daughter. Baby #3 is on the way and is due in September 2020! We are so incredibly excited! My kids are my EVERYTHING…my husband too of course but, hey, it’s really all about the kids on here- isn’t it?

A little more about me, you ask? I love being a happy-homemaker (yep, I said it), spending quality time with my family and friends, listening to oldies music and pretending like I live back in the good ol’ days, and attempting to be the best mommy I can be. Being a stay-at-home mom is not always easy (to say the least) and it definitely has its daily challenges but I cherish all the time I get with my kiddos. We love to make crafts, play learning games, sing together, cook/bake, and get our daily dose of belly laughs and silly dancing in.

4. My goal in life has always been happiness and positivity. Hence my website name. We call ourselves the Happy Hepburns. Cheesy- I’m aware. So if you don’t like the way I roll…well that’s okay, but this blog (or whatever this is) might not be for you.

“My Goal in life has always been happiness and positivity.”

5. To be honest, as you can already see, I like to talk. Well I guess this is technically writing. Cut me some slack, I sing kids songs all day and rarely talk to other adults. I get a little excited when I’m talking about grown-up things, especially things I am passionate about. So that’s how my “blog” will be…me probably over-talking just a tad. I like to explain things though! If I am recommending something to you I want you to know WHY. If I’m telling you about an activity I do with my kids I want to tell you about the fun ways to switch it up or extend the activity! So again, if you like quick and to the point- yeah, not really going to find that here.

What will you find here on my blog? An extremely excited mom eager to share the fun things I do and tips on how to have the most fun and enjoy every second with your little ones.

6. Let’s just get to the point (I could go on forever). My friends and family are probably all wondering what the heck I am doing starting a “blog”. Admittedly I am a little embarrassed for them to read all of this. Like I said, though, I love to write and why not start this blog as a fun way to share some of the activities I do with my little ones and things I’ve learned along the way. I love making crafts and educational materials to use with my kids (check them out in my Crafts for Kids section of my blog and in my Shop). I also have a passion…no let’s call it an obsession, for researching anything mommy-related. From finding products that are organic and safe during pregnancy/breastfeeding to discovering the best educational yet FUN toys for my kids. So I’ll probably be sharing some of those finds with you too!

Well, that concludes my list. I’m glad you hung around to read the whole thing. Maybe stick around a bit longer and check out my little happy home here in this crazy online world of blogging.

Yours truly,
